乌尔都语用一个音对应英语两个。Vest 和 west 常合并。
乌尔都语常用进行时。英语对习惯偏向一般现在时："I work in Karachi"，不是 "I am working in Karachi"。
南亚英语保留一个固定问句尾。国际英语会变化："you came, didn’t you?"，不是 "you came, isn’t it?"
乌尔都语很少用冠词。英语需要。拿不准时默认用 "the"。
